Congrats to the Grads! *Hair Tutorial Inside*

You can never be overdressed or overeducated.
— Oscar Wilde

Congratulations to those of you who graduated this year! I am a big advocate for education. Although you may not need formal education to make your dreams a reality, I do see the value of learning from your peers. The time you spend in high school, college, or post graduate school is time you are gaining more than book smarts. You are gaining independence, memories, and friendships. You also begin to open your mind to diverse perspectives, and as human beings, we all learn from one another.

Congratulations again! My hats off to you for your accomplishment! If you are still in school or considering attending school, congrats to you as well. You have placed a goal in your life, and that is something worth being excited for.

In the spirit of #throwbackthursday and heading into #flashback friday, here is a "Wavy Hair Tutorial" I did back when I was graduating from grad school. I created this video after realizing my graduation hair style didn't quite work for underneath my cap. I created an alternative option for you girls looking for some hair ideas.

The hair-style I chose for my graduation day didn't quite work with my cap. Unfortunately my cap kept falling off my head even though I pinned it a 100 different ways. Here are some pics from my Master's graduation and also my favorite song from that time- "Time of Your Life" by Kid Ink. This song always gives me nostalgia from when I was in school.
